Speedball’s Red Baron Baren is ideal for beginner artists and great for use in block printing, scrapbooking and card-crafting projects.  

Barens are essentially used for providing a flat surface to distribute downward pressure across a small area. Once you've inked your printing block and laid a piece of paper over the top, you then rub the baren across the paper, forcing the ink to be applied to the paper.
